How IDX Enhances Cybersecurity for Client Sites

Everyone knows that IDX is great at both building investor relations websites and assisting companies in their digital communication needs. But have you ever thought of IDX as a Cybersecurity Enhancer or Resiliency Partner?

As you might have read in the news recently, there have been multiple prominent cyberattacks (Harrods, M&S, CoOp, North Face, Cartier, etc., in 2025 and Royal Mail, NHS, Estee Lauder Companies and many more in the previous years). Unfortunately, this will be an ongoing saga considering more and more vulnerabilities are discovered in systems and the malicious actors are eagerly waiting to exploit them.

The attacks come with a cost ranging from millions to billions depending on the size of the company. For example, a cyberattack may dent the customers’ confidence in the company and such reputational damage may wipe out millions in the stock value, or the impacted services may experience significant revenue loss.

IDX hosts and manages thousands of websites for hundreds of clients, meaning we’re on the front lines every day building on our extensive knowledge and experience in cybersecurity. Such collective knowledge and insight truly add value. Look at some of the stats below for 2025:

IDX’s Cybersecurity Tactics

IDX’s Cybersecurity Tactics

Even when some clients were impacted by a cybersecurity attack and totally out of service, the websites IDX hosted for them continued to stay up and secure, thus giving them a safe option through which they could pivot their communication strategies and continue to reach out to millions of customers.

IDX achieves this through the following tactics:

  • Defence-in-depth – IDX incorporates information security into every component starting from design to every deliverable.
  • Optimized protection – IDX security controls are tailor-made rather than generic.
  • Continuous protection – IDX security controls are tuned on a continuous basis based on the traffic pattern or the threats.
  • State-of-the-art technology and tools – IDX continuously evaluates new tools and technologies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Regulatory compliance – IDX build controls to ensure that various international data privacy and other regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DORA, etc.) are fully implemented.

Unfortunately, there is no tool or technology that can totally prevent these sorts of incidents, but IDX can help you keep your public-facing digital estate as safe and secure as possible when we’re part of your security strategy and plan.
