Future-Proof Hiring for a Global Portfolio

Following the adoption of Workday as a central people platform across the Halma Group, Halma needed a careers solution that could bring together opportunities from across its global portfolio of companies. The aim was to create a seamless, scalable careers experience that reflected Halma’s group identity, while celebrating the individuality of each operating company.

The Challenge

With around 50 independent companies operating under the Halma umbrella, the challenge was multi-layered. Halma needed a central jobs board powered by Workday, but without compromising the autonomy, branding, and identity of each business.

Key challenges included respecting the distinct brand identities of each company while maintaining a clear and consistent Halma look and feel, ensuring the careers experience felt fully integrated within the Halma website rather than a third-party add-on, and creating a flexible solution that could scale as new companies were acquired or adopted the Workday Recruitment module.

Off-the-shelf solutions quickly proved too restrictive, making it clear that a bespoke approach was required.

The Solution

IDX designed and built a custom careers platform that integrates directly with Workday, delivering a centralised jobs board while preserving the individuality of each Halma company. The solution was designed to feel like a natural extension of the Halma website, maintaining consistency in design, navigation, and user experience.

The platform allows roles from across the group to be surfaced in one place, while still giving each company space to express its own employer brand. Built with flexibility at its core, the solution supports ongoing growth, making it easy to add new companies as Halma continues to expand.

The result is a scalable, future-proof careers experience that balances group cohesion with local identity, improving visibility of opportunities and extending reach to new audiences.

The careers site that IDX produced has been a step change in how roles are centrally promoted across the Halma Group of Companies.
